A Georgia Senior Session

"Carson's Casual Grad session took place on her high school's campus and in a historic square in town in Harris County, GA. We shot in the early evening in natural light using a reflector. The football field sat up high on a hill and the views were gorgeous. Having the empty stadium as an option to shoot at was perfect. Carson said she spent a lot of time there throughout her years at HCHS. I wanted to tie in someplace meaningful to the session, so we shot in front of the high school as well. She wore a shirt for Kennesaw State University as a symbol of where she's headed next."

Inspiration: "We wanted a casual look, but to still capture the excitement of graduation. I've never been a huge fan of the school-provided graduation photos. Let's face it, mine was just terrible. The concept for casual grad sessions is to give seniors the chance to still get cap and gown photos, but to actually get photos with personality. So many seniors get their main senior pictures done the summer before senior year, and we all know how much a year can change a high school student. These sessions allow for some closure at the end of the year; the end of an era."
