For 2019, we are kicking off Real Talk with none other than Adam Hommerding!! Adam is the perfect person to get us started for this year’s series of Real Talk where we talk about how he started The Modern Collective – a design shop for photographers, managing a photography business that’s a husband-wife team, branding and more.
Adam Hommerding is a senior and family photographer based out of Minnesota. Together with his wife Amanda, they form a photography duo that is known for personality filled portraits throughout the midwest. Adam and Amanda founded The Modern Collective, a design shop that caters to photographers and provides them with curated marketing and sales products in an effort to make the lives of modern portrait photographers easier. Their photography brand has been going for over a decade strong and continue to produce photos and designs that lead the industry.

The idea behind Real Talk was to hear from your photography inspirations about how they got to where they are today. Real Talk is all about their journeys, moments in their business or artistic endeavors that changed how they approach life today, and candid conversation that was just like you were sitting down to coffee with them yourself. It isn’t about the technical stuff… It’s about learning from their bigger picture advice that you can apply to your own business and life in so many unique ways!
