Senior Style Guide’s 3 Tips for Senior Photos at the Beach

1️⃣ Time it with the light.
Golden hour is your best friend at the beach. That warm glow right before sunset adds magic to every shot - think sunkissed skin, soft highlights, and dreamy tones. If you can, plan to start your session an hour before sunset for that perfect light shift from golden to pastel.

2️⃣ Keep it natural (but intentional).
Wind, waves, and movement make beach sessions dynamic - embrace it! Go barefoot, let your hair blow, and play with natural poses like walking along the waterline or sitting in the sand. I always encourage my seniors to move and laugh; that’s where the magic happens.

3️⃣ Plan your wardrobe wisely.
Flowy fabrics photograph beautifully with the coastal breeze, and soft colors (think white, light blue, tan, or coral) complement the ocean tones. Bring a towel and a backup outfit just in case - because sometimes the best shots happen in the water!
