Today’s rockin’ session is from Sean Molin of Sean Molin Photography in Zionsville, IN! I love his work, especially his use of the surroundings and his signature flash look. Take a look, I am sure you will be in awe of his work.
Let’s meet the gorgeous girl behind the images…
“This is Pearl. Fire-red hair, matched with porcelain white skin. Does it get any better? Unbelievably mature, open girl with a natural model ability. I rarely had to give any posting instruction. We set her for the best light and location… and she provided the magic. She is graduating in 2012 in Bedford, IN.”
The session took place in Bloomington which is an amazing place to shoot. Here is Sean’s take: “We had a BEAUTIFUL September golden hour in Bloomington, IN, and that was paired with an equally amazing location. Their family owns an abandoned sawmill. ’nuff said. The second location was downtown Bloomington, and we found an alley that had some great graffiti and some other adjacent areas with stairs and the like. While the first session utilized perfect natural light, we really kicked it up with some high-fashion studio-style action in the second half. Those photos with the pure white background… that’s actually a softbox AS a backdrop.”
For this session Pearl’s beautiful look was all her! Yes she is completely self styled.
Genius Sean…I love the unique location of the Sawmill and I love love love your ingenuity using the softbox as a backdrop and I felt like I knew Pearl from these images. Keep sharing as we can all be inspired by your fab work!
