Today’s featured senior session comes to you from Shannon Queen Photography, located in Medford, OR!
Describe this session for us:
“When we designed this session, we pictured a gorgeous dreamy sunset coming through the sunny mustard flowers. When we arrived at the field at the golden hour, the sun was hidden behind a bank of clouds at the horizon. McKenna had been through hours of hair and makeup, so we decided to just go for it. She rocked the session!! The cloudy haze created a gorgeous softbox, and as an extra bonus, the evening became very windy, making for some amazing movement in her hair. Just as we were finishing up, the sun broke through and gave us some beautiful backlit images. It turned out to be a truly magical session.”
What inspired this session?
“McKenna wanted a field of flowers and I was pretty tickled because I’d been wanting to shoot in this field of mustard flowers for a long time. The beautiful yellow flowers really complimented her gorgeous brunette hair and hazel eyes. I knew that contrast would lend itself to creating some moody black and white images to match her more serious personality.”
What gear did you use?
“I used my Canon 5D Mark III and Canon 24-70 f2.8 and a reflector.”
Hair & MUA?
“McKenna’s hair and makeup was artfully crafted by Whitney Ruddock of Whitney Audra Makeup Artistry.”
SO lovely! I love the field, her hair, the wind, the color….everything! Thanks so much for sharing this session with us!
Thanks for reading SSG!
