A Texas Senior Session

Today’s featured senior session comes to you from Cindy Swanson Photography, located in Heath, TX!

“This girl was amazing! And, she brought her college aged sister (who I photographed 2 years ago with her) so it was relaxed and just fun and easy. She knew that I recommended texture and layering for her clothing and she did a great job at it. I keep what I call a Jewelry Bar in my car along with several floppy hats that I take with me. We end up using something from my mobile “closet” every time and this time was not exception. The grey floppy hat PERFECTLY finished off the flow-y pants and crop top, as well as that Egyptian bracelet. She was a dream to pose, she just got it…how to move and change positions and take directions on how to “tweak” a pose. We shot in downtown Dallas and we photographed in places that I had not shot before – which of course I loved! Her clothing for the first half of the session seemed modern to me, so we sought out more modern backgrounds, then with her boho look, we just went for any beautiful, back lit, sun kissed area. The only stress we had was the traffic jam that we got caught in the middle of, but it was all worth it, because these images are some of my favorite.”

Tell us about the gear used: “I shot with my Nikon D700 85mm prime lens for the entire session.”
What inspired this session: “Her clothing and in our consult, she expressed that she wanted to be different from her sister’s session that I did, and she wanted a more downtown look. We used a grey modern concrete wall for the black crop top and flow-y pants to keep things somewhat monochromatic.”
Hair and Makeup Artist: Makeup Artist is Tiffany Underwood of Couture Cosmetics by Tiffany.
