A Texas Senior Session

Today’s featured senior session comes to you from Angela Ditmore of Ansley Beth Photography, located in Grapevine, TX! Here is what Angela had to say!

Describe the session for us:

“Macy is high school senior from Grapevine High School.   Macy is a member of Student Council Leadership, NHS, Best Buddies,  and Grapenuts.    Outside of school  Macy plays lacrosse and is an active member of NCL and young life.  She loves bright colors and nature and we were sure to incorporate those elements into her session.  Her personality is bright and fun and I really had the best time shooting with her and her Mom.  She has that smile that can truly light up a room!  We even got to enjoy an amazing sunset at the very end of her session that provided the most amazing back light.  Lets just say we were all excited about that!!  Working with her was an absolute dream. She was so much fun to be around and I absolutely adore her style.”

Tell us about the gear used:

Nikon D750
85mm
50mm
reflector
step stool (haha because I am short)

What inspired this session?

“Because she had the bright pink dress we opted for the white cottage style house as a backdrop to her first location to really provide that contrast. I love it because it really made her dress and those amazing eyes pop! Her 2nd outfit was fun and more fall urban style so we moved our shooting location to a more industrial area near by and we shot directly into the sun to create some fun contrast images with the light peaking in behind her head. We threw in the hat to add to the fall vibe she was going for.
Lastly for her white dress she wanted something simply and flowy so because we had the best sunset set that day we opted for the field we love shooting at. The simplicity of this setting created the perfect backdrop for her last outfit. I love that her gallery ended up being a mix of 3 very different settings and it offered her a lot of variety when she narrowed down her images.”
