Today’s featured senior session comes to you from Jamie Zanotti Photography, located in Las Vegas, Nevada!
Describe this session for us:
“Jillian said she wanted a rustic session with a bit of green, so we included everything from trains, to an airstream trailer, to a wall of old harnesses, to a lakeside village! Jillian and her mom didn’t have any interest in traditional portraits. They just wanted to play and get creative, and achieve the most varied looks we could. And it was SUCH fun to have that freedom as a photographer!”
What inspired this session?
“Jillian represented our state as Miss Nevada Teen America in 2016, and has done some modeling, so she already has a beautiful portfolio, particularly of studio shots. So we were inspired to get especially creative with a variety of naturally lit, outdoor locations and backdrops to expand and diversify her portfolio!”
What gear did you use?
“Jillian’s session was shot in natural light, with a Canon Mark iii. Lenses used included the Canon 85mm 1.2, Canon 50mm 1.2, and Canon 70-200mm 2.8 (for the lake shots, as I was far away across the water). We hauled a reflector around with us for the entire shoot, but never pulled it out due to a nice light cloud cover that rarely allowed the sun to peek through!”
Hair and MUA?
“Jillian’s pageant experience paid off, as she did her own hair and makeup!”
Oh wow! I love the variety and her eyes are simply GORGEOUS!! I’d say you nailed this “non-traditional” session for her:) Thanks so much for sharing with us!
Thanks for reading SSG!
