Today’s featured senior session comes to you from Expressions Exposed Photography, located in Pittsburg, KS!
“Meet Miss Morgan, one of my beautiful senior reps from northeast Oklahoma! Morgan has been a dancer for many years. When she said for her session she wanted to use her uniform in her dance studio, I was so excited! I knew this would be a unique session for her as a senior as well as myself as a photographer. We began outside of the studio with a few frames and then headed upstairs. I originally envisioned having to use off camera flash and some very “portraity” poses to capture the feel of a dance studio. But when we walked into the upstairs private studio, everything came together photographically. Not only was Morgan pretty in pink with her tutu and tights, the studio happened to also have blush curtains and large windows to work with. I immediately took the flash off of the camera and took a more lifestyle approach with it, having Morgan pose in some of her actual dance techniques and warm-ups. I used all natural light for this shoot, with a bit of help from a reflector. This was something that I had been wanting to work on as a photographer and this session worked PERFECT for it!”
Gear: “This session was shot with a Nikon D700, Nikon 35-70 f/2.8 lens, and a reflector.”
Such grace and poise…and beauty! I love the locations too! Well done! Thanks so much for sharing with us!
